An Epic Winter Elopement in St. Moritz: From a Helicopter Ride to Sunset Vows

Last Updated: February 6, 2026 | Published On: February 6, 2026

It’s no secret, one of my favorite parts of the Alps for elopements is Engadin St. Moritz. Whether you’re looking for off-the-beaten-path or something easy to access, there’s something for everyone here year-round.

When Dylan + Ryan reached out about their elopement, I was immediately bursting with ideas. Their willingness to try new things and brave the cold led to a sunny, memorable winter wedding.

The pair started the day with a luxurious hotel stay and stunning balcony views overlooking the frozen St. Moritzersee. It’s the kind of vista that you can’t help but keep peeking out at. At their hotel, they also read emotional letters shared from family and friends. By this time, we were sufficiently warmed up…and bracing ourselves for the single-digit (Fahrenheit!) temps outside. The chill was worth it, though, since Dylan + Ryan decided to try something new and explore the Alps via helicopter. Landing at a private mountain top spot above 3000meters while sharing champagne- does it get more epic than that?

As the day drew to a close, we picked out the perfect spot for sunset vows. The Swiss Alps stretched endlessly in every direction as soft, warm light touched the mountainsides. Both the cold and the views will make it a ceremony none of us will ever forget it….1000% worth it.

Adventure, luxury, and some of Switzerland’s most diverse and interesting mountains…there’s nothing dreamier than a winter elopement in St. Moritz.

Our 2026 wedding year started off strong, thanks to these two wonderful humans who trusted us to help them celebrate 🥳

Real St. Moritz Winter Elopement Experience: A review from our couple

Christine and Scott were an absolute dream to work with! I could tell Christine took her work seriously from the moment we spoke to them for the first time on the phone, and from that point forward it was all as easy as can be. The day we took photographs the temperatures were freezing and everything was still absolutely seamless. They both did everything and more to make us feel comfortable, happy and at ease. Our sneak peek photos and teaser video are both beyond words – we feel so lucky to have these pictures and memories for a lifetime.
